I guess I blog once a year now! Here, in no particular order, are some things that happened in 2018:

I went to a few concerts: Rostam. Lucius. Kate Nash. The Killers. Janelle Monae. Kimbra. Also took in a few twilight concerts from a parking garage. Sadly Florence and the Machine, Sylvan Esso, Drake, and Childish Gambino are not on this list.

Celebrated a lot of milestones with my Martinez cousins: Josh and Kim got married! Abby is pregnant!

I lost both my grandfathers. Here we are at Grandpa DeLaMare’s gravesite:

And here we are having a Cuban dinner in honor of Abuelo Martinez:

I shaved my head (well part of it).

I turned 30! And so did a lot of good friends.

Threw some parties, including this pool party.

Visited the Hall of Breakfast.

Also enjoyed many nights discussing books (and tv, the movies, and every bachelor contestant) with my book club.

Said goodbye to my Sister and Derek (and Ziggy) as they moved to Texas. Have since exchanged approximately 1 billion Marco Polos with Gabby.

Went to Europe.

Joined a club. A Hot Tub Club.

Finally got recognized for drinking lots of soda when I got to participate in a focus group with Sodalicious.

Went to Las Vegas to reconnect with old friends.

Also checked Neon Museum off my bucket list while I was there:

Ate everything on the menu at Spudtoddos.

Said goodbye to Michael who sadly is now always in Texas when I’m in Utah and vice versa.

Watched Movies.

Scooted my way around town.

Participated in Nanowrimo and spent many nights at Starbucks trying to hone my writing skills.

Said goodbye to Mindy as she started new adventures in Arizona.

Volunteered with the Juvenile Arthritis Foundation. Jingle Bell Run is pictured below (I was in charge of games for Elf Village), but I also did JA Family day which was great. Family day was at the Natural History Museum of Utah.

Broke into the beauty influencer industry.

Celebrated Courtney’s birthday with a trip to Disney.

Wore perhaps my best Halloween costume to date, Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi of Princess Diaries fame.

Maintained my status as Lagoon season pass holder.

Celebrated at Jordyn’s Britney Spears themed birthday party by wearing this plaid skirt ONE MORE TIME (get it?).

Celebrated Liz’s birthday with high tea at the Grand America.

Went to Waco.

Got the best surprise of 2018 on Christmas day when we found out Gabby was pregnant!

Finally, I ended 2018 by WINNING a family Chopped competition.
