Picture That

Lately when I’ve sat down to write a blog, I’ve not been doing so well with stringing words together the way I like. So today I thought I’d bring you some pictures instead (aka collages I make while watching All Star Celebrity Apprentice and other equally illustrious television programs). If you’re in need of something fun to do on one of these rainy April days, I highly suggest destroying some magazines while you’re stuck inside.

pinkcollageHappy Sunday!

Currently: re-reading Great Gatsby in prep for the upcoming movie. Also, speaking of movies, go see Jurassic Park 3D. Totally worth it.

Pretty Girl

This weekend I started putting together some new playlists. I spent a lot of time walking around my neighborhood and liberty park this week so I had some time to just listen to music which is always nice; I tend to take my time with music, so it can be a long process haha. I added this song to my  Grrrrl Power playlist (inspired by a viewing of First Wives Club with my friend Karen) and  I really think you should listen to it tomorrow to start your week right (How am I just listening to this? It’s so catchy…).

Currently: had a great conference weekend (with lots of time spent on my latest diy crafty type project) and am now counting down the days until my sister is stateside again.

Seasons Greetings

Dear Neighbor,

While I appreciate your enthusiasm for the holidays and would never want to interfere with creative expression…  I think it may be time to switch up the decor. You may want to start by putting away the Valentine’s lights. Also, I don’t want to rush you, but it may also be time to give up the Christmas display. You cannot make something a year round permanent lawn fixture simply by adding different seasonal decorations to the past seasonal items that you haven’t gotten around to taking down yet. Ice skating cartoon characters are kind of depressing when we are all really hoping for spring to take over.

Sincerely,

I-hope-I’m-not-turning-into-those-people-who-report-non-standard-paint-colors-to-the-neighborhood-association (Seriously, stop me if I start to turn Stepford)

P.S. Also, I revoke this statement if you promise to commit to this all year round. If you accept this challenge I expect to see shamrocks and Easter bunnies ice skating on the lawn by tomorrow evening.

Currently: still grateful for the extra sunlight we gained from daylight savings
